The first award was presented to Bill and Marion Kirk, Grand Bay Ties and Frills. The have danced for over twenty years and are charter members of their Club. Bill and Marion have taken their turn at all the executive positions and have served on numerous committees. They are also the club historians. This couple are dedicated square dancers and have supported all area clubs as well as their own. Beyond regular club activities, they also participated in demos, bake sales, preparing floats to enter in parades, and even in Campground bake sales from the back of their van.
It was an honour to present this award to Bill and Marion in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the dance activity in Grand Bay as well as in Saint John area as a whole.
