Joan Pittaway began square dancing in 1953. In 1976 she became a charter member of Charlie’s Angels RD Club. Joan does not stop here but is an active clogger too. She has contributes to the dance activity over the years by holding many executive positions in these clubs. She was secretary to the Federation in the early 80’s and has been on the Board of Directors for the past six years. Joan became Journal Editor in 1992 and continues to hold this position today. The Journal is the tool that keeps dancers informed of upcoming activities, dancer news and other related information. Currently she has also taken on the job of Executive Secretary for the NB Convention 2002. All in all, Joan has spent many hours working for the good of dancing. She is not only and active dancer, but also a worker, willing to take positions on various governing bodies to ensure that the dance activity keeps improving for the good of all dancers.
